COURSE OF TIME GALLERY Course of Time The mixed media paintings in this series start with a book of epic poems of the seasons, entitled "The Course of Time". I located this book in a local used book store. It was apparently an old book, dated 1768. I had been working on the Calendar Series and wanted to create a companion body of work on paper using collage. However, I knew that I wanted the works on paper to connect conceptually to the oil paintings. Once I got the book back to my studio, I started to take the pages out, glue them to watercolor paper and use them as a painting surface.
